Thread: Biggie vs Nas

Hmmm I admire both of'em. Most people would automatically say Biggie, since he's no longer here and one of tha most influential MCs in Hip-Hop. So i honestly don't know, they're both real lyrical. Biggie was all about lyricism and making you feel him with his punchlines and Nas is/was all 'bout lyricism aswell, but making you think at tha same time [especially old Nas] like songs like "Heaven". Both real vivid with storytelling... I'm leanin' towards Nas though.... iunno lol this is a good one.

I think his catalog speaks for itself... I just wished that the I am.. album was released the way the bootleg was.. I got a copy of the bootleg in in feb of 99.. It was 2 discs..I am.. and the other was Nastradamus.. THe tracklisting was crazy..it had blaze a 50, belly button window, drunk by myself, hate me now, kids in tha PJ's, ghetto prisoners, find ya wealth, nas is like.. baically it was only the dope joints from I am.., a few cuts from the nastradamus album ( actually just two come get me and project windows) but mostly from the lost tapes album he released in 03

if he would have released it the way it was intended, it would have been better than AEOM and Life after Death...

You have to understand that things change.. Nas put in his time/work..he is in his mid 30's now.. he will do whatever his wifey thinks is a good look in her career.. I mean if it's about the music telling you this man hands down is the best ever..song for song flow to flow..subjects wverything

I can't disagree ithyou on that.. that was his weakest album by far.. It would have been a dope album had he kept the original songs he intended for it instead of his record co paniking and throwing songs that had been cut to make the album..

but if u get the lost tapes album..those songs were meant to be on nastradamus and i am..

nas more versatile than big? in what way?

sorry man but to me in my honest opinion..Nas had him as far as storytelln..

Gave U power, Blaze a 50, SHootouts, Belly Button window..

also think nas had the best verse in the 90's with the verbal intercourse with ghost and rae..

again it's just my opinion..so it really don't matter, but even big said on record that he couldn't fuck with nas on top of the dome

May not be popular to say but i think Nas without question. Biggie is great but i think over rated with his death.

Just an opinion. Biggie is of the greatest ever....But I think Nas might be even better.

Biggie, nas and Jay-z all bit Kool G Rap, so you cant say Jay Bit BIggie or nas or vise versa.
But i gotta pic Nas, just cause illmatic was the last Album release during the Golden age of New York rap, before everything went all "Gangsta" and fucked shit up

Naw mayne it was aimed at Nas. A lot of people mistook for a Tupac diss because of the beef he had with Big. Even Nas said it was a shot at him on that other song I posted.

Yet, none the less Big was a beast on that track.
