Its obviously the symbol of death, some say that with slowed music could have something to do with the mystery of death.

Totally guessing with this...

But 3 in the morning and all screwed up were the only ones screw had something to do with. The others were released after his death. Some of those up there are legit screw tapes but rereleased after his death. Some like sentimental value were pieced together after he died.

As far as the skulls on 3 n the morning and all screwed up...idk. But I'd say all the others wanted to keep in theme with those two so they put a skull on the cover.

Well that's my theory

BTW I bought a re release of June 27 and it was a totally different cover with no skull on it. It had a tape on the front cover

the skull was very popular amoung the gangsta rap/G-funk crowd during the 90's.

The skull was probably use to depict the slow, eerie sound of screw.
