So out of bordom i decided to boot this game up after a year or so today,god i forgot how good it and its sound track were.Seriously the sound in that game is what fucks with you the most heavy ass piano keys when theres nothing around for miles just to get your heart beat pumping.Anyone here ever play it growing up or still play it every now and then when they wanna shit their pants to the dead genre that is survival horror ?

fuck i remember i played the 4th one, everything about that series is just demented

i never got very far into the 4th the 2nd one and resident evil 1 though were my games growing up dont know how many times i failed trying to play those 2 through fully.

resident evil...the days where ammo actually mattered.....

hah i know huh it boggles my mind now that in that game there was less emmo then enemys so literly every enemy was life or death.

the worst was when you blew a clip into a zombie and he got reanimated as one of those red ones that runs faster then you do,those things use to scare the living shit out of me almost as much as the green hunters(the toad looking things).

i know haha i used to try and run by all of them just to save ammo. i remember in one the resident evils...i think 2? there would always be a huge ass nemisis running after you. i wasted every single bullet i had (i had been scrounging for like 4 hours) on it and it fell over like it died...i was so pumped that i didnt see it get up and kill me. FML.

That was 3,but yah fuck the nemesis,bastard used to always come at the worst possible times and make you run around like a idiot hoping he didnt catch you.

ps1 and ps2 had some classic scare you shitless games miss those days.

deadspace is cool and all but your just to powerful in it to make you really fear the enemys like back in the day when your weapons were a pistol with 5 bullets and a fucking wood stick.

although it did have one of the dopest trailers/theme songs ever.

i fucked with deadspace at a guys house....it was scary but a different type of scary. like resident evil was a terror type of scary, like "oh fuck idk if im gonna live" type, dead space you know you always have enough ammo and its just scary cuz of how things pop out at you

yah i feel yah.I thought condemned 1 and fear 1 were pretty good.condemned was real cool since you barly ever got guns so you would be fighting crackheads off with sticks and broken pipes so you had to stare them in the face as they tried to rip your face off and fear had the whole creepy little girl which always is unsettling to say the least.

ah condemed, that was one of my favorites, the fighting is so gritty in those, cept condemed 2 wasnt nearly as good as 1, you got guns wayyyy to early plus it wasnt nearly as scary. and i have fear and fear 2, they both were good

condemned 2 pissed me off there were a few levels that stood out like the hotel level was insane crackheads giggling and running room to room as you walk around that maze of a hotel.

As the game progressed it just got worst and worst though,like you said to many guns and shit.God the worst was when you unlocked those psychic powers fucking shooting hadokens from screaming shit was so stupid.That games story was so retarded to about how you have the vocal cords of jesus himself or something stupid like that.


ooo shit though the part where that huge bear chases you around the mansion was insane though.

nah ive always wanted to that game looks insane,i saw a brand new copy at gamestop once but it was like 50 dollars or something couldnt believe it was that high.

yeah the hotel level was the standout for me, DAMN I FORGOT ABOUT THAT BEAR, i knew it was coming cuz one of my homies told me to watch out for it but damn, i didnt expect it to be that pulse pounding.

damn thats hella spendy, i got a copy at my local pawnshop for like 10

yah i completly forgot about it to till i started typing that shit out about the hotel.

idk which silent hill i played but i remember i was little.. i got to like the train tracks on the first stage i think.. but it was too scary..

but i fucked wit that resident evil..

tryinta beat it a million times.. then finally finding the right combination of attacks to win without using all ur ammo and
still having to end up trying to survive using ur knife..

Anybody looking for something similar but better imo should check out fallout3 or new Vegas, I think its one of the best survival games out there.
It's similar in that ammo is scarce, most weapons break if you don't repair them, if you stray into an area with deathclaws you'll get your face ripped off in a matter of seconds, very good storyline that changes as you make decisions on who to help, who to kill, you can get radiation, poisoning,

i fucked with fallout 3, first time i played it i just did the main storyline and i didnt get why everyone liked it, i played it a second time and did everything you could, it was way funner the second time

Fallout 3 is the shot imember the first time I started playing it I played for 6 hours straight

i beat that shit like 4 times game was great,the mercenarys mode or whatever it was where you could play as all the characters like hulk and shit was fun as hell to.

i always prefered the original to it though,the remake of 1 on gamecube had the most retarded graphics ever shit was insane for being a last gen game.
