Alright so I never wrote a song before... But I'm thinking about writing one...

What are a few tips yall can give me...

shit you need syllables and rhyming words and a bit of metaphors thats all you need

it's much more than syllables and metaphors…anyone can make words "rhyme"

it's how you put all that together artistically so it becomes one with the beat.

a true MC doesn't just "move the crowd"
he "motivates the crowd"

I agree , mainstream just "hires" who ever will say what "they" want. they think they know what the public wants and after decades of pushing this "mainstream" bullshit on the airways they've effectively brainwashed the public into thinking cats like lil Wayne and drake are " real MCs " while cates that could rap circles around them get looked over cuz they ain't , how they put it , WHAT THE PUBLIC WANTS.

The thing is I can write about anything and on type of Beat... Just asking on more of opinion wise... What is like a common ground that people enjoy....

For example.... Ordinary people by John legend....

IMO I like a blend of the way chalie boy flows , wit how bone thugs harmonize(flesh or crazy) and all intertwined with K rino's complexity.

at the end of the day its your music, and it should reflect on the person you are
