Just finished up some more work on my sub box, cut out Texas on top an put some lexan underneath sealed up, with some blue lights inside, got some painted interior pieces an some white on the door panels I wrapped, the box is gonna be wrapped on white vinyl with padding on top an grey matching suede on the top, Im doin all the work my self, what y'all think

An Junebug got it at home depot by the window part, its not the thickest shit but it's fine for what I got, they have thicker there tho

Yea they had some, they didnt have the best selection of vinyl tho, i got lucky i guess an found shit that matched good, its textured like the actual door panel so it matched good,
I wanna say 14 maybe its by yard for the price, but the width of the roll is pretty good size to so its good

I wanna fabricate a 100% Glass Box. frame everything up with 2" plexi , seal and mold it all up with liquid glass and use 1" thick 4"or6" diamiter plexi for ports.

IMO id think this way would be the most acoustically sound way to build a box. but then again I don't know cuz I like the way the wood resonates.

i build my boxes to, they loud as shit, but i usually dont even wrap them in anything, just leave them bare mdf, lol
i think partly cause i like to change my setup so much, but imma get a more permanent setup soon and ill post it

Thanks homie I preciate it I think it's an older one ,one of my homeboys gave it to me he wasn't sure if it worked or not an didn't have somethin to hook it up to so shit I took it haha, get ready to laugh haha amps a crunch from frys they had it on for 49 dollars when I was first startin to build my system so I picked one up it's bridged pushin 500 watts to the sub, sounds good to me an shakes my bros seat in his truck when I'm behind him at a light so I'm good for now till I get another sub

lol crunch.....decent budget amp, its good for what you workin with, it's not like you need a shit ton of power since you got a single sub with limited space
and damn 49buck you cant beat that with a stick

truck cabin setups most the time are pretty good as long as they not stuffed behind the seat
one time i seen a ol school single cab truck, forgot what model exactly, but it had a system and that shit sounded good
i wanted to go n check his shit, but i was with somebody esle and we were in kind of a hurry so i didnt get to see what he had
we was like on the other side of the gas station n i could feel it in our floor board
truck cabin was so small on that thing i dont know how it could have been that loud, but i guess his box was hella effecient

Yea my single cab my bro drives there subs are behind the seat it sounds really good but not as much as you could get if it wasnt stuck back there, an I been thinkin bout puttin captains chairs in the back instead of the full seat an just continuing this box all the way to the back wall maybe put 2 more subs that way, but that shit all in time I ain't in a rush for that, just working on wrapping this one for now get it lookin right

Ok i made the top cushion part an tried to wrap it yesterday with the suede, turned out like shit, cant figure out how to get the hole for the Texas to be covered on the inside while trying to keep the suede one piece anybody got any tips or ideas



Here's the inside part that I'm talking bout need an idea on how to get it to keep the Texas shape an cover the foam on inside

Its hard to explain without showing you but why not try to wrap the sides of the tx symbol first and have a little comin up on the top then lay the top on and secure the edges under the padding/foam.

I tried to start in the middle an line the inside of the Texas first then work out from there but the fuckin foams to soft an loses shape real bad, so ima get some stiffer shit from an upholstery shop an try it again

what you would want to do is pull the material thru the texas hole, and staple to the bottom side of the wood, then put the plexiglass underneath. ...

Yea I thought of that after I already screwed An siliconed the plexiglass on haha I'm gonna have to take it off to do it right, an for the lights I went to walmart an got the led strips for 17$ they had in the car area it was a pack of two an they had the wires to run so you can hard wire em, an the back of the lights had that 3m tape on em so there stuck to the back wall inside outta sight

as long as you put the foam on top of your box, cut the hole in the foam for the state of TX, then wrap the material over and pull thru the whole and staple, it will help keep its form/shape. then just put the plexi on like normal. itll be lookin real good then..

as for the rear deck, no material on in that picture, just fiberglass. i will be painting TAN to match my interior when shes ready.

as far as foam, go to walmart, use bed foam...cheap and plenty left over incase you mess up. i wouldnt recommend bed foam on SEATS lol but for that armrest/box, it will be perfect.

Spent a long ass time tonight wrapping it, first time wrapping somethin like this isn't the best but turned out better than I expected, I also painted the inside white to get rid of the wood color so it looks better threw the plexiglas
