ANY1 knw how 2 make trunks glows or knw wut dere made of?im not frm houston so hard 2get shiit done over here in "el paso"tryin 2 install on 1995 olds royale,also tryin 2 get da mercedes side blinkers? Any advice will help thanks. \m/

The signs are usually made of plexiglass/lexan. All you basically do is etch/engrave what you want on the backside then just put neons/l.e.d. lights on the edges. The light goes in the plexi and lights up whatever you etched.

Unless you got a steady hand and are good at art/drawing I would take it to get done.

Depending on what lights you get, you just have to mold the mirror to the shape of the light using fiberglass/bondo then paint to match. Cut out the shape of the light and install from the inside.

Yea I know I was just tryna keep it simple and give him an idea. They can be sandblasted, laser etched, or use a chemical glass etcher to frost it. As far as a stencil goes it can be used but it depends on how much detail is in the design or you can mask off the glass and cutout the design. They can be hand drawn (depends on detail) but you gotta be one cold mothafucka to make it look good.

Yuh I seen the ones with the mirror finish they also have some that are color tinted. What did you end up using to make the letters?

Do u knw how dose are made,n I did it by hand wit a etch gun,da engraver or wutever its called,took me 4 hrs ha but fck it it was worth it

Mayne real talk I dont even know, I would guess and say all you have to do is go buy some tint ( 5% ) at autozone or something either the mirror finish or color tint and just apply it to the back of the plexi...

I wuz just thinkin of usin like a light tint like a blue or Idk,kuz I think 5% will just stop all da light,n I just grabbed sum led lights frm autozone hopefully dey bright enough,I tried loolin at ur lincoln through da browser but Idk it don't let me see

Nah the lights dont go behind the plexi they go on the edges of it facing in, the reason being that the light goes thru the plexi and makes the design light up. To get it to shine good I would put a strip of leds on the top, bottom and both sides.

Ima do dat,once im done n its up ill post sum pics 2 c wut u think

i looked at few pumps on a trunk car(easy), and i looked at mine, and its gonna be a bitch to properly have the pump by my side panels and maybe have to fiberglass a brace to keep it from moving. and with the amount of shit im about to put in, last thing i need is a pop trunk kit with a glass sign. LOL
