Actually, I'm gonna agree with Reggie on this and say that Skrillex ruined dubstep.

heres a few of my favorite dubstep artists as of late

Zomboy, Tut Tut Child, noisestorm, quartus saul, Feed me, pegboard nerds, Quba, Glitch mob, Pendulum, Noisia, Protohype & Kezwik, Excision, Datsik, Dank (USA), and flux pavilion

skrillex had his time to shine but ever since recess.................*vomits*

some of my inspiration comes from the artists listed above from when i produce some glitch hop or Drum n bass or drumstep but eh...........

honestly most dubstep fucking sucks bad. the dude who said americans ruined dubstep nailed it. late 90s/early 00s uk dubstep was relatively mellow compared to skrillex's aggressive brostep adventures of today, the bassline still rules the songs but they aren't constructed around any sort of "drop." honestly most of today's dubstep fans wouldn't even recognize old school shit as such.

now instead of blunts, hats, and hoods we have neon tank tops, tribal tattoos and shitty mdma.

i have have a pretty dope dubstep mix that i can upload when i get home tonight. i downloaded it from the old philaflava forum back in the day, the cd-r is simply titled "GARAGE WONKY DUBSTEP MIX MAY 2009" and is full of older tunes (mostly uk stuff) that dropped before dubstep really took off on an international level.

how do y'all feel about grime?
