https://www.texastribune.org/2018/02/01 ... nabis-oil/A six-year-old Texan on Thursday became the first person in the state to receive a legal delivery of medical cannabis — more than two years after Republican Gov. Greg Abbott signed a law legalizing the sale of a specific kind of cannabis oil to Texans with intractable epilepsy.

HOUSTON - The first licensed cannabis oil dispensary in Texas opened Thursday in Manchaca, outside Austin.
https://www.click2houston.com/news/firs ... s-in-texasThe company, Compassionate Cultivation, is selling cannabidiol extract oil to registered patients diagnosed with intractable epilepsy.
The dispensary has opened three years after The Texas Compassionate Use Act was passed. The bill required the Department of Public Safety to create a secure registry of physicians who treat epilepsy for the purpose of prescribing low-THC cannabis via state-licensed dispensaries to patients who have been diagnosed with intractable epilepsy.
The dispensary is holding a grand opening party for the public Thursday, but the company notes in a press release that the “purchase of cannabis-based medicine is limited to state-registered patients and legal guardians.”

Having said that.. 04/20/2018 was a great day for the weed smokers!

Few days earlier the former Republican speaker of the House endorsed it!
Approval from Beto O'Rourk, the El Paso City Council member running for Texas senator.
The minority leader of the House Senator Chuck Schumer takes action with a plan/bill.
Of course Bernie Sanders wants it..
Of course Corey Booker also wants it..
Finally, the first FDA approved drug made from cannabis!

It's happening!!
My thoughts:
1) Nothing is happening, on a federal level, until the next Administration. This will take years to evolve with all the "legal procedures" and regulations. It's on the horizon though..
2) Decriminalizing will not make it legal in TX. That will only ease up the stigma of "it's illegal" so the (future) Republican governor might give it a chance.
3) States rights will be bad. Nothing will really happen at this point. It has to happen at the federal level.
4) Full-on recreational, federal legalizing will do it. Then TX will be selling weed..
Vote democrat to give TX a chance y'all

It's going to pick our next President! Well, at least for the Democrats running for the seat.. It's going to be a hot topic.. the person who pledges to make weed legal will win..
Don't you think? Sure seems like a "hot topic" that all the Dems are speaking of..

It's because Dems are grasping at straws, they think appealing to potheads will win them an election, they used up the race card with Obama, the woman card failed miserably, time to try the loser stoner card. Dems can't learn for shit and what happens when Trumps administration deregulates it before they even get a chance to touch it? There is already talk but you probably don't see that kind of news lol.
FYI I smoke, and it's insulting to use something so petty as a platform tbh.

Throwback from a few pages ago..
Really? People can just make weed legal like that? We going to fail to Canada though?MONTREAL — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says ''next summer," and not July 1, is the date cannabis will become legal across the country.
